Welcome to my Blog!

Hellooooo everyone! I’m Cristine Buico, 16 years of age. A student from Cebu City Don Carlos A. Gothong Memorial National High School. I’m a Grade 11 Student taking up Academic Track which is ABM Strand. In this blog, I will tell you my experiences in taking up the ABM strand.

What is ABM strand by the way?
The ABM strand in its most fundamental sense refers to the accountancy, business, and management academic programs that concentrate on the foundational concepts in corporate operations, financial management, business management, as well as each and every factor that revolves around those central fields. This would focus on the basic concepts of Financial Management, Business Management, and etc.

Being an ABM student, is hard. You really have to have Time Management to survive! At the first semester, our subjects are Business Mathematics, General Mathematics, Entrepreneurship, Komunikasyon, Oral Communication, Organization and Management, English for Academic and Professional Purposes, and also Personal Development. In this semester, we’re not really that busy because that time, our teachers are not really strict and they don’t rush us to do this or to do that and submit it on that particular time.

At the second semester, our subjects are Reading and Writing, Fundamentals of ABM 1, Empowerment Technology, Statistics and Probability, Practical Research 1, Understanding Culture, Pagbasa, and Marketing. In this semester, we are already struggling because we really have to submit our activities on time. Sometimes, we’re not going to eat our snacks or lunch because we do have a lot of things to do. On the other hand, if we are going to eat lunch, we won’t eat rice. We will just eat biscuits.

Because of skipping meals, I always have a headache and had an ulcer. On the other hand, being an ABM student is fun especially if your classmates are very helpful and is fun to be with. Our classroom is full of joy and happiness. I never regret in choosing ABM strand because even though its a hard strand, it taught me to have patience all the time. This strand is very challenging and this would taught you to fight whatever it takes. To the ABM students out there, don’t forget to put a smile on your faces because being an ABM student is really a great honor.
